Windows app on linux: remove warning?

I installed the Windows App (4.5.1) on my linux Splunk deployment (4.3.1). There is a warning box that comes up each time I open the app:

Non-Windows Operating System
Splunk has detected that the server operating system is not Windows.

The Splunk for Windows App can be installed on any operating system, but the app inputs can only be configured on Windows operating systems.

Is there any way to remove that warning? I've removed inputs.conf from the app itself, but the warning keeps showing up.

The problem is that the pop-up displayed when running on a non-windows operating system doesn't have an 'ignore' button. We are working on fixing that ASAP.

I too would like to know this answer.

I did click the button, but do not even see a local folder. All I see is $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/users//windows/metadata and $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/users//windows/history

Did you click on the button in the popup? If so, do you see anything in $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/users//windows/local/?
