I have about 6 months experience with Splunk, starting with when I joined IG Index. They had recently purchased Splunk (Enterprise license of 70Gb, 3 indexers/search heads and approx 200 light forwarders) and their current admin was on the way out. I had to start from scratch to learn how to be a Splunk admin, as well as taking over tasks such as user training and Splunk app development.
And I'm supposed to be a UNIX engineer!
