Hi,
I tried to run a batch file which can execute my exe file whenever splunk.
But it seems that my exe file will not execute.
Any help will be good.
Thanks.
Here are a few questions:
Is the path to the executable correct? It should probably be explicit, or else you should set the PATH environment variable in your batch script.
Does the account that is running Splunk have permissions to see/execute this file? Scripts are launched by Splunk using the account where Splunk was installed.
Can you run the executable manually? Will it run if you are logged-in as the Splunk account? Are you running it from the same directory where the batch file is stored?
Thanks for the reply.
To answer your questions.
Yes the path is correct.
Yes the account have permission.
I am able to run the executable manually.
The problem is the executable file is not at the directory.
I had moved the executable to the script directory. And its working.
Thanks.
