Review the documentation below and follow any custom installation steps. If no install steps are listed, most Splunk Apps and Add-ons can be installed as follows:

Windows: Decompress the downloaded file using a tool like 7-Zip and place the resulting folder into %PROGRAMFILES%\Splunk\etc\apps. Then restart Splunk using the splunk restart command or the GUI.

Unix/Linux: Decompress the downloaded file using a tool like tar -xvf and place the resulting folder into $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps. Then restart Splunk using the splunk restart command or the GUI.

Teach Splunk to fill-in missing fields in your data!

Now you can have Splunk automatically predict missing or questionable fields.

• Learn any field from any field or fields, including raw text.
• Human entered data, like sales orders? Imagine predicting missing fields and detecting fields incorrectly filled out. A 4 story house with 600 square feet? I don't think it. No square footage listed for a house in 90024? Go with 1954.
• Social media data, like twitter? Imagine predicting the politics, demographics, or gender based on zipcode, first name, etc.
• Have a data set with missing values? Train a model in this app on the filled-in data and apply it to the data where values are missing.
• Want to do sentiment analysis to determine how your customers feel? Take a small training set of emails, each marked up with "angry=10" or "angry=1", and have this app learn to recognize angry emails. Angry emails can get directly routed to a manager.
