Splunk Forwarder Virtual Appliance for VMware. This VM image (.ova) is a data collector for ESX/ESXi performance metrics, ESX/ESXi logs, VC Server tasks , events & inventory that you deploy using vCenter Server (VC).
1: Splunk App for VMware. This app has the views, dashboards and saved searches that provide insights into your virtualization layer.
3: Splunk Technology Add-on for VMware vCenter. This is used to collect vCenter Server system logs and is installed into Splunk Forwarders running on your vCenter Server machines.

It seems like some people encountered some sort of download-timeout issue. A temporary download link until this issue is resolved; http://download.splunk.com/solutions/vmware/splunk_for_vmware_forwarder_appliance_2.0.0-121412a.ova
Impossible to download this app. I tried to download this one from several locations without success. Sometimes the size is 300MB or 500MB, it depends but never the 700Mb expected.
How can i manage this ?
Someone having the same issue ?
Is there any other locations where i can find the app?
Please help,totally blocked for my splunk deployment. Thank you.

Trying to configure the FAVM "splunk add forward-server" getting an error. Couldn't determine $SPLUNK_HOME, perhaps it should be set in environment.
Can anyone assist?
