It appears the GUI allows for the multiple ldap strategies to be specified for authentication. When multiple ldap strategies are provided how does splunk authenticate a user? Does it try strategies in order until one succeeds? We have users in multiple ldap locations that we want to be able to authenticate and give different roles. Has anyone had success doing this? It looks like this is possible via the options available in the manager but it is not clear to me exactly how it will work. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Currently we only use the enabled strategy, but supporting multiple LDAP servers is certainly on our radar. Stay tuned.

LDAP failover must have made tracks all over your radar screen by now. We're tuned. Only hearing static. When's the music going to start?
