Splunk Monitoring app and Windows 2003

I installed the Splunk Monitoring app on a Windows 2003 server to monitor the installed forwarders. When reading the "documentation" I see this only applies to Linux.

Is there some documentation to get the app working in Windows 2003? I already installed nmap.
