Refine your search:

I installed and ran the Enterprise trial license which I accidentally let expire. I didn't notice for 4 days that it had expired so my search is now disabled due to license violations even though I have changed to the free license. Is there a way to reset it or do I just have to wait until the violations are outside of the 30 day rolling period.

One Answer:

You might need to change your license group to Splunk Free (http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/latest/Admin/MoreaboutSplunkFree#How_do_I_switch_to_Splunk_Free.3F). If you have already done this and are in violation, you will have to wait for the rolling period to pass (see http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/latest/Admin/Aboutlicenseviolations for more information).
