Was wondering if there was a quick way to reload an app in splunk without having to restart the splunk server

One Answer:

To reload the view XML files you can simply click on the logo of the app and it will reload all of the XML changes.

For the nav you will need to hit this url then refresh your app screen:

https://localhost:8089/servicesNS/admin/search/data/ui/nav?refresh=1

Switching localhost to your server and 8089 to the management port of Splunkd.
