Refine your search:

If you're creating a new index in your environment, what items do you configure explicitly, and what drives those changes? As an example, what causes you to set auto_high_volume as opposed to just auto. Seeing as "auto" is the default, is there a disadvantage to always using auto_high_volume? In what cases would you override things like indexThreads or maxConcurrentOptimzes, etc? Do you use a standard set of settings for any new index?

Why do the settings for the main/default index differ from the default settings? For instance, why does the main index use auto_high_volume while the default is just auto?
